So I just put a reserve on the Scarlet W. I'm coming from the Sony FS700 as my primary cam for the past several years. The SW seemed like the right time to invest in RED.

That said, I've been using Canon L series glass for a long time and I love it, but I want to get some Cinema glass to match my Cinema camera. I just picked up the Canon CN-E 50mm & 85mm for $5500 together and I'm planning on adding a few more lenses to round out the kit. Tell me what you guys think:

Sigma 18-35 Cine Modded (been using the standard version of this lens for awhile and love it, but the cine-mods will be very helpful)
CN-E 50mm
CN-E 85mm
CN-E 135mm

I've also considered the Tokina 11-16 cine and 50-135 cine to bookend the kit down the road.

Not sure about the tokina 50-135.

Why dont you stay all CN-E ? They have a good enough selection of primes. If cost is an issue the sigma will be your best bet I guess.
But if I were you I would rent or use your L series primes until I save up enough for the CN-E's. They are lovely glass and well matched together. I dont own a set but used them many times. Build quality is great throughout and they match very well.
My 2c

With an OMOD box and latitude Handset, pulling focus with your electronic motorized lenses should theoretically be a breeze.

great price on those cn-es though! If you decide to resell them later, shoot me a PM

The easiest way to upgrade your lenses to cine is actually NOT upgrading your lenses at all
Just get the OptiTron kit and all your ef autofocus lenses work like cine lenses....
here is a video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZB85Dzbgf0
It's been proven in the field for over a year now, mature product available now ;-)

Add a 16-35 f4 IS until you can afford more CN E. You'll be surprised how close it matches, will give you the range you are missing and will always be a great handheld lens because of the IS.

Has optitron been tested/certified for DSMC2 bodies like weapon/scarlet-W/Raven ?
I'll try to get a hold of a weapon this week. Just to be 100% sure.
I don't see why it wouldn't work- the control port is the same on the W...

Thanks for the feedback. I decided to keep the kit entirely Canon CN-E Primes. I'm only missing the 35mm right now. Hope to have it soon.
