Hi Guys,
I'm sure this question will get lost on the Avid boards (as people will question the need for 4k workflows) so I thought I'd pose it to some people facing the same issues as me.
I've been shooting Red for 2 years and have numerous project waiting to be converted to 4k masters. Now that Avid is out, what are peoples workflows for migrating everything to 4k timelines.
I've transcoded all my footage inside Avid rather then using REDCINE X so I can preserve the meta data and footage links to the original RED files. Half of my material is in an older pre-frame flex version and the last years footage is in frame flex. My only fear is that I have switched r3d material over to different drives. I'm hoping that the media tool can find it. I don't want to be rebuilding edits from scratch and am looking for the easiest way.
As you migrate your footage, can you share you work flows.
Thanks!
