Just got my camera #1313 Back. VERY quick turnaround. Just plugged a mic in and listened and it sounds VERY clean. Thanks God. Thanks RED! I like the new audio cables and funky adapters..

Hi Bobby,

Thanks for letting us know. Its great to know what number they are up to !

Can you tell us more about the funky adapters ??

Cheers, Tim.

turnaround..

turnaround..

I think the turnaround was about a week. I shipped out on Monday.. may have even been Tuesday, and it came in yesterday.. Wednesday.

The audio cables are minis on both ends and they ship 2 little mini-xlr to xlr adapters with the cables.

I'll do more tests with the camera on audio tomorrow or over the weekend, but intitial impression is very good. I could not record audio with a mic with the old boards, and it sounded crystal clear this morning with a cheap mic and iphone earbuds in...

We aim to please. Our whole upgrade team; John (Bombsquad), Scott (warehouse), our awesome guys in the Upgrade Center, and the team in the UK have exceeded our expectations. They really have been making this program run smoothly.

I can't get phantom power to mics after my upgrade. . .

I can't get phantom power to mics after my upgrade. . .

I've turned on the 48V phantom power. I've set record enable.

And nothing. The mics won't work. And there is nothing wrong with the mics (Schoeps).

I also posted this separately, but since I just saw this post, and I'm in a bit of a jam, I'd love to know how to fix this issue or if there is something wrong with my just upgraded camera.

Thanks.

Stephen

My Schoeps MK-41/CMC-4 requires 12-volt T-Power rather than 48-volt phantom power. Are you sure your Schoeps uses phantom power? I hope you didn't damage your mics by sending 48v! Even when sending 12v "T" to my Schoeps, it won't work unless I reverse the phase from what most mics like (with a phase reverse adapter or specially wired XLR cable).

Nah. . . my Schoeps are 48V phantoms. . . CMC641s.

Strangely, everything is now working. . . it just started up for no apparent reason. We did nothing differently.

Stephen
