  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I just upgraded to the GTX 980 and OS X 10.10.4 on my Mac pro 4,1. I also upgraded to the latest CUDA (7.0.36)

I upgraded from using the combination of the GTX 120 and GTX 285. The PCI aux cables that came with the GTX 980 didn't have the right connectors so I
used the PCI aux cables from the GTX 285 as they had the appropriate connectors.

I'm on Resolve v10 still and it is very buggy. Any node with NR on it is extremely snowy, I'm getting a weird boarder around running along the thumbnail timeline in the Color tab. When using the Tangent Wave panel it crashes Davinci altogether.

I tried all the 6.5 CUDA downloads but they crash Davinci after log in when I select a project.

My only educated guess is that with all the upgrading going on that v10 isn't compatible with the new OS X and GPU???

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Thank you Brian. That's a great link to have. I believe I did install the correct web driver but I will double check.

Is the newest CUDA driver certified for Resolve 10? If it isn't, you may not see any improvement.
