Upgrade for NULL Lens to work with the EPIC and Scarlet

The NULL Lens can be upgraded to fit the EPIC and Scarlet cameras. The rear housing needs to be carved away a bit on the sides in order to fit within the mask in front of the sensor. AbelCine offers the service to upgrade all current NULL Lenses. The charge is a one hour Service fee, which is simply to cover our time in aligning our mill of each individual NULL (it's a hand process). The upgrade is offered only at our New York office, but if you are near our LA office we will ship your NULL back & forth to NY in our regular weekly shipments at no additional charge. Just have to point out, though that the email you gave for Jenna bounced back as nonexistent. A quick look at the Abelcine directory showed it should be Jipcar @ abel... So far that one hasn't bounced back. Haven't heard back, but don't really expect to until regular business hours anyway.

Since the Null is "made in Germany" there should be.

Is this just a case of having to mill off some material top and bottom of the lens ? if is is possible to advise how much ?

Yes, but I don't have theose numbers are our mill's jig is programmed to its own frame size, not that of the lens. You have to be very careful if you do it yourself. The milling must be done with the lens fully assembled (glass mounted) and the clearance is incredibly tight -- under a millimeter. You don't want to cut into the glass!
