Many of you saw Jarred's RED Armor post in Recon.

So, in addition to offering RED Armor to EPIC-X and SCARLET-X, we are now offering it for EPIC-M. Same price and coverage as EPIC-X. Since you get two-years for EPIC-M as part of original warranty, this extends coverage for a total of four years (two original plus 2 extended). See FAQs for more details.

If you already have your EPIC-M (or EPIC-X), you need to contact your BOMB SQUAD rep by the end of 2011 to get RED Armor.

If you have an open order / want to place an order for EPIC-M or EPIC-X, RED Armor must be purchased before order processing begins (easiest is ordering same time as the brain).

Yeah, we revisited that. Feedback from customers was that if they were going to do RED Armor, it was going to be at time of purchase. After that, out of sight, out of mind. They would forget to buy it later in that year. This way, we won't have those "S**t, I forgot to buy RED Armor and my original warranty just expired" situations. Plus, the logistics and bandwidth to get in cameras within original warranty period to eval, offer RED Armor, etc was a lot. Not to mention, the camera coming in for eval means it is not in your hands, shooting. Just tried to make it cleaner and more respectful of your time and our time.

Brent, the EPIC-X RED Armor email also mentioned not having to return the EPIC-X, for eval, if camera was received prior to RED Armor's introduction. Has this changed as well? Just want to confirm.

EDIT: Nevermind, the official email just arrived with more details. :)

MMMM.... Armor....

Might be somewhere but no can find:

Is the full Armor Warranty transferable to a new owner? Or is the 90 day deal still in place no matter what?

Sorry, a bit tired and dense brained this evening...

So I have my Stage-II ordered and awaiting the EMail.... Do I have to order/pay for Armour before I take delivery, or do I have till Dec 31st?

I have run my $$ reserves to their limiting kitting up the Epic-X, and will need to sell some things off to get Armoured up, which seems like a must have!! Just need to know exactly if I have 2 weeks(X delivery) or 6 weeks, Dec 31st...

Thank you,

Scott

Ketch, wow, it's worth the moneys though.

Yeahp Paul,

it sure it is, not sure I'll do it for both M's but our M8 its getting it for sure, as that baby will be getting the RED DRAGON first thing,
and officially been placed out of any Jobs unless solely Operated by me... Or Steve Gibby... Bottom line... M8 will remain with us for a very long time
so the additional RED ARMOR warranty its no Brainer... ;)

Hey Brent - This change is a little unexpected, I had budgeted to purchase RED Armor for my Epic-X (deposit paid) closer to the time the original warranty expired. My budget prohibits me from purchasing RED Armor when order processing completes on my Epic-X, so extending my warranty is now no longer possible. How about if we could put a 10% deposit down on RED Armor during order processing as a placeholder, then fulfill the remaining payment within 6 months of receiving the Epic-X. That would be a win-win for RED and me. RED would collect the full fee 6 months ahead of the expiration of my original warranty, and I would get the extended Armor protection. I am sure other Indies are in a similar position. - Thank you, John

Yeah, Ketch people think it's weird that I won't let my M go out without me... That's why I got the Scarlet.

I like this 10% deposit idea. I can at least handle that until I allocate funds to pay for the full Armor.
