Unusual marking suddenly appears on system screen...dead pixels?

Out of no where this marking appears on system screen. See photo. Any idea what it is. I thought dead pixels.

There's a protective plastic film over the actual screen. If some cleaning liquid or other contaminant like oil got in-between it could look like that - it would change shape if you gently press there.

Or it might be a screen bruise from something hitting the screen, or pressing hard against it in a camera bag or case.

As long as you can still read the information, it shouldn't affect camera operation.

Just check and no plastic film. So I think your right with the screen bruise.

It's actually thicker than a film, more a sheet, and not user removable. But I got some cleaning fluid behind it once when I used too much.
