Unsupported format from my Epic to my Monitor.

I've just been just bought a Red Epic, and Im having trouble with the monitor. Ive replaced the standard Zephyr SD monitor with a HD Panasonic BT-LH80W. But when i turn the monitor on and switch it to SDI Input, the monitor reads "unsupported format",also i've bypassed my rig and went direct from Epic to monitor and still the same outcome. I was wondering if any one had the same issue with this monitor or similar issues with other models, and if there were any settings i could change on the EPIC to fix this issue.

The Panny monitor is quite old. From a quick scan of the input signals it accepts, it doesn't look like it accepts progressive (true) and that's the Epic output. the Epic kicks out 1080P/720P only

Check that your Epic is OK by selecting HDMI in your output settings (you should reboot to make the settings stick) and then plug into a TV/Monitor - as least you'll establish signal then. Then reselect HDSDI/reboot and see if you're getting anything.

You could try changing the output signals on the Epic, but there isn't much choice. Failing that your best bet is a converter to get a Psf signal.

you can use a black magic multi bridge pro to convert the signal to PsF. Thats how I tether Avid to the Scarlet on this job I have been on the past year

Using Sony domestic flat panels that work HDMI 1080p with Zero cut off, however if I use the SDI & convert to HDMI using a Black Magic converter I need to set 720p & there is some cut off! All very strange however playing with Epic output settings will probably get you a solution.

I used our Epic SDI out to our JVC DTV 24 and from there output to the Panasonic BT_LH80 last month for a shoot and it worked flawlessly. TODAY I am prepping for a shoot in two days and it does not work, gives me the "unsupport format"

Not happy and don't know what went wrong but stressing now.

Any help or input to save my small monitor would be great as well!
