Our proto-type splash bag (T-Bag) was just on location this past Wednesday, shooting at a depth of 10-12 feet. Approx 24lbs of weight was added internally in order for it to submerge (naturally) to the desire depth. From the feedback that I personally received, the camera DID NOT overheat after spending quite some time underwater.

It is a Splash Bag first!!! But when/if... the need should arise...feel free to dip/soak it!

Tried to post this on "Underwater Bubble blowing.." first....seems like that thread is closed.

Looking' good! Soon available exclusively through Abel Cine Tech.

What is "average" set up time?

Total dry weight of entire unit?

Any pics of it packed up in cases?

And yes, cost?

Shawn,

Our first production run is currently under way. As soon as all parts are in and assembled we will have exact weights. As far as shipping is concerned, it has always been our goal with Abel to keep it packed (system folds) in a lightweight Pelican or Storm case. The entire system (including case) will certainly be 'flight friendly.'

The 'T-Bag' will also house several other camera bodies (including fiber and triax), as this was our original intention.

All other questions will be answered for you within the next month by myself, Mitch or the Abel team. Specs, photos and videos will also be available shortly.

Still finishing beta test stage, so the current answers wouldn't be accurate to the final product. But to be vaguely responsive ;-) :

Designed to set up fairly quickly, doesn't weigh much, collapses for shipping in a smll Storm case, and will be reasonably priced. Answer anthing there?

It will also fit a variety of cameras, not just the RED. Pretty much any 2/3" camera (remember those?) and should be fine for Epic as well.

Much more to come as the product gets closer to shipping.

Whoa, great minds think alike.

Reasonably priced... :) I hope that's reasonable. Looking forward to this...I remember when Anthony showed me CAD concepts of this. Now it's a reality. Are we looking at delivery within the next few months?

Any Info (price tag)...?

More information coming soon. Anthony and his troops are busy building away.
