Underwater/Splash Bag

not sure if this is the right forum to be posting this in, but can anyone recommend a good splash bag for the RED, looking for rental in Los Angeles :)

Cheers

There's one coming from ASL gear...

ASL GEAR IS CURRENTLY WORKING ON THE T-BAG

This unique splashbag will be able to be used with the RED ONE®, HDCAMs, XDCAMs, P2 HD Cameras and many others safely to depths of 1-8 feet underwater.

The T-bag will have an adjustable camera plate for use on a tripod or camera crane, a shoulder mount for handheld use, adjustable operator handles, video/audio inputs and outputs, and full lens controls.

The T-bag will be fully loaded!

Hey Greg

I have a housing for the RED, if that will work for you.

how was the experience?

This bag wasnt designed for the Red but we have adapted it so that it will work . So far 4 Red shoots and everyone seemed happy. Until we can get a dedicated Red splashbag this is one of the best options available. Looks like you work over at Tippett. It would be very easy for you drop by our shop to take a look.

Im not sure why you were told that. I will check. I will say we are often very cautious on the phone to make sure people are aware that these are not true underwater housings. Better to be safe.
A Scubacam bag can go underwater down to about 5-10 ft. It is designed for the kind of shooting where you are in and around water and need to go underwater for short periods of filming.
Reading some of your other posts about this shoot it sounds to me like you need a true underwater housing for sustained underwater filming.
