Hey all,

Chaos Films is shooting a trailer for a pitch, and we need someone who know how to use the R1 underwater, and has the gear to do so. We're shooting in the Austin area in a few weeks. If interested, please email with your contact info and rates. We've got about 3 weeks to set this up, and the shoot is two days.

Thanks,

Scouting is still going on, but probably shooting on a lake nearby Austin.

I'm mostly concerned about the camera not being limited to just shooting from the shore, but don't want to risk dropping it in the water without protection.

Only problem with that seems to be that its in design...and I need this three weeks from now.

Also, not looking to buy, would much rather rent at this time. I don't have enough time to learn a new facet of the camera at the moment.

Hi,
Our company recently acquired a new underwater rig for the R1.
Our in-house underwater cinematographer is just finishing a shoot
for Animal Planet. All underwater stuff. If you like, I'll put you in touch
with him. Please forward your best contact numbers. Cheers.

I've shot a few "wet" jobs like this before using Aquavideo's housing. (I have one in my possession right now). Here's a still...

You can actually fit a proper remote focus and HD-SDI out of this housing.
PM or e-mail me for a rental/shooting rate.

PM sent about our R1 and underwater equipment.

We did a doc on the R1 in the Galapagos Isles and we decided to do all our underwater stuff on the Canon 5D Mark II. Stuff looked amazing and the rig is really small
