Here's my new dilema:
Shoot footage underwater (i can't recall my settings--if redcode 709 or redpace, but i think redspace--Gamma is set to factory)

Then i pull my footage into Redcine in order to convert it to prores422. This always goes off without a hitch.

My settings in Redcine are straight forward. Within format settings, my two settings at the bottom (within PROJECT) are NORMALLY:
REC709 and Gamma: REDspace - this usually gives me a very nice look. I sometimes go back and forth to see what REDspace looks like in the camera setting within PROJECT, but seem ALWAYS to use REC709.

The photos are all the same photos with SAME color settings. the reason they look different are ONLY because i changed the format settings from REC709 to REDspace---look at color RED--very CRAZY. Is this a problem with the new 20.1.3 build or REDcine or just the sensor?

**All of these photos are with the same color settings. The reason they look different are because i ONLY changed Format settings from REC709 to REDspace---but look at color red in REC709--It is CRAZY!

Just shot some new footage using build 20.1.3 and the color red while in Format settings within project are completely WEIRD. I've posted examples of four shots...one shows red colors blown out if i use REC709 and another where it looks normal in REDspace. The other shows you a jellyfish (no red) that looks great in REC709 and not as good (but not bad) in REDspace.

Does anyone else have this problem or have any answers?
Thanks....

BUMP now that "new posts" is back up

Rec709 has more "video" looking color to it. Thats subjective, but I think most would agree. Redspace has much more natural looking color, but is rather desaturated - if you bump up the redspace color saturation on the jellyfish to about 1.35, it should look similar to (and likely better than) the rec 709....
