Ken,

Back in the 80's, I had a deal with Fuji where they would sell me 1000 foot rolls of Velvia and I would shoot them in our Aaton. The film did not come in film-camera friendly containers so I had to re-feed them by hand in a dark room into, which would take me like 30-40 minutes per roll, and I would sometimes shoot 20-30 of them in a day...The image quality made it worth all that suffering, but man, honestly, it didn't look anywhere near as good as what you guys shot in Palau, beautiful, beautiful images...RED is "the one", without a doubt.

This is CERTAINLY technology revisited....In the field --- and i mean in the field--on an island in the south pacific where it rained EVERY day and night....

We reviewed shots, cut a rough timeline and delivered footage from the field thousands of miles away from civilization. Ok...so we had 22 cases of gear. BUT, mind you we did not have hundreds of pounds of film to ship out either to get developed.
