First off I'll start by saying that I am so stoked to become a RED owner.
I've been following the company since the RED One and ownership has always been way out of reach.
I started hunting for used Scarlets a few months ago, then saw some teasers of the Raven.
I put my deposit down on a brain as soon as the queue opened.
Cannot wait until February!

I'll be developing an underwater splash housing for my Raven, mostly for surf use.
I'm still uncertain as to the best way to setup the Raven to provide battery power and a monitor in the smallest possible form.
Currently I'm looking at a XL battery module, and would like to mount the 4.7" monitor on the rear of the camera however I think I'm right in saying I would need a Lemo adapter kit.

Any suggestions?

SPL seems to be the only players in the game at the moment. Like some things about my Dragon housing, dislike others. But I doubt you could make a smaller setup than those guys have, which is based on RED Brick power. Can't say I'd want to swim out with less power than that, as changing batts and cards is kind of a process. Also not sure I'd swim out into the surf with a housing that couldn't take a beating...

Just wanted to revive this thread and see if others had plans on configuring Raven in a housing?

I'll be doing a few CNC billet aluminium housings for my new venture Salty Surf Housings.

My planned setup is:
Raven Brain
XL module
XL battery
Sidekick
4.7inch monitor
Lemo adapters.

This should allow for a fairly light configuration with full control and monitoring.

Keep us updated on your progress, I'm definitely interested in a housing.

I contacted SPL several months ago to see if they had any plans for the Raven, and they told me when they receive theirs they will develop one, so there will be some on the market for sure.

I Want a very compact housing that fits a Raven with 4.6inch monitor on top and Vmount battery on back. Having a window on top of the housing to show the monitor.

Patrick: could housing have monitor at the back with clear backplate? - simpler and cheaper and probably more compact design. (usually increasing height or diameter increases volume more than slightly longer smaller diameter housing).

Also sony and anton bauer makes some low profile v-lock batteries that keep the height about the same as the camera rather than most V mounts that stick up and inch or more above the camera body requiring taller/larger diameter housing.)

I was hoping to go without the Lemo cable too, but the housing ends up way too bulky mounting the monitor on top.

So it's been a long road, but I've finally finished a bunch of DSMC2 housings.
CNC machined 6061 aluminium.
Sidekick controls.
Adjustable grips.
Housing weights just 2.2 kg (shell + grips only).
