I dive a Megalodon but I am most likely trading it in for the new ISC Pathfinder.....amazing little rebreather

yeah new thread call it "Underwater non bubble blowers" that would separate the men from the boys LOL

Do you mean the men from bad boys?

Classic Line John!
I am impressed though - All this time I did not know Powel actually swam!
Little action figure.... FUNNY. ha ha

Fun time at Stuart Coves Tiger Beach Seafaris. http://vimeo.com/m/47272018

Random clips, shot with a Sigma 14 mm. Corners, u decide if it's sharp enough. For Our friend Pawel we already know how you feel. These are unedited clips, light quick grade in Red CineX. Aquavideo Epic 5k housing with glass dome port.

It kept bumping heads into someone's beautiful glass dome and the guy just bit the tip of the fin off as a warning, I would....

Frazier those images are splendid and extremely sharp!!! What a privilege to be around such gentle animals I hope the big tiger didn't break to many teeth on the metal bait box.

FYI magenta hue at 503 was just where the camera tilted up and I grabbed sun which was too hot for f stop I shot it at. Did very little in post and didn't bother to edit it out. I created a look in Red Cinex and applied it to my camera before shooting, found before doing that EpicX uw in the touchscreen monitor was kind of hard to see and looked so so while I was shooting. Added a bit of contrast to the look and it made it nicer to look at and easy to see uw. No color correction filter at all. Beautiful raw files can be graded to anyone's individual tastes.

No teeth fell out and no sharks were harmed during this filming. And the corners of the shots, well they may not be full res but are u looking at the corners? Please..

Whale Shark shot using Nikon 16-85 lens....on Red 1 MX sensor at 4k 16:9---LENS: (first to state this is MY opinion only and it may be flawed, but it is what i know from only my limited experience as a diver and newbie underwater cameraman)--no extensive tests have been performed for what I am about to state and may be FUD....
Shot on Nikon 16-85 lens behind dome port: This lens i like as a great all round lens and can get a lot of coverage from wide to medium macro work. BUT, not quite as sharp as other lenses i prefer at the wide end--to name a few--: tokina 10-17 (fisheye) or 11-17 rectilinear and sigma 15mm fisheye--i also have to add back the red 18-50--IF you found the right lens. These only being some of the semi affordable lenses. I also use very limited now the Arri 14mm 2.0 and it's a great lens, but not good enough IMO to make me switch from my nikon mount and other options.

...for those of us doing doc work that need wide coverage, i love that 16-85. But would not likely choose it for something beyond TV work.

Frazier, what's the story on that Tiger's cut off fin?

Haven't met that shark, she had a hook on one side of her jaw, almost rusted out thankfully. Other side was her cut off pectoral fin. She was not shy and stayed with us ALL day. We had fewer lemons and two Tigers most all day.

Thank you Ross, very kind of you. Stuart is going to need a new bai box though.

Just loved the Elkhorn corals at this spot. I see new life and Elkhorn beginnings here and other places in the Florida Keys, today I saw many new beginnings of Elkhorn stands that hopefully in the future will be covering the ocean floor again as is this wonderful Elkhorn garden at Horseshoe Reef, Florida Keys. Shot from behind a regular glass dome port with a Sigma 14mm lens, Aquavideo aluminum EPIC 5K Digital Cinema housing.

All compressed to 720HD webmovie.

I always evalutate sharpness of my optics by looking at a small Youtube video clip.
