I remember reading about some under water shooters taking advantage of the Birger Canon mount and VF-FF solution. I love my RED-Birger-VF set up and wonder if this pracitice is still in use?

Does anyone make or take orders for custom made housings for this set up? If you know anything please pm me. I am located in Sweden and would be intersted to buy from where ever you are or maybe rent if you are located in Northern Europe.

PS: I did my military service in the early 90's as a sonar operator and "rogängare" on the Swedish submarine Näcken. :drool5:

Carl:

We make housings for the REDONE and have had setups for the Birger since summer 2008.

Here's some info on the housings: some of it is a little out of date and most of the housings are built to order and somewhat customized but this will give you a starting point:

I have a small circuit board that controls the birger mount with switches on the housing that works quite well.

Contact me if I can help you further.

RED offers the Mysterium Super 35mm cine sized (24.4×13.7mm) sensor, which provides 4K (up to 30 fps), 3K (up to 60 fps) and 2K (up to 120 fps) capture, and all this with wide dynamic range and color space in 12 bit native RAW. At 4K, that's more than 5 times the amount of information available every second and a vastly superior recording quality. In addition, you get the same breathtaking Depth of Field and selective focus as found in film cameras using equivalent 35mm P/L mount lenses. And 12,065,000 pixels deliver resolution that can only be called Ultra High Definition.

I am Debora and I have read your site in a very deep and I would like to appreciate you on this brilliant effort. You have provided some thing so much different that I can't have words for thanks.
