I'm trying to export some Helium footage from Red Cine for editing in other software. Most of the footage is exporting fine, but the varispeed clips are not; I'm getting the message "Failed to render stream. Unable to negotiate media type." in the export status.

I got the same error exporting to ProRes as well as to Cineform in an AVI container.

Thanks!

can you check permissions for the disk? Seeing zero source and zero destination free space could be a part of it. I am not as familiar with Windows but that may be an issue.

The non-HFR stuff exports fine, into the same place, and the disk has lots of free space on it. It's only the HRF stuff that's giving me that oddball error.

Definitely funky. I'm following to see what the word is. Hopefully someone else can chime in.

I'm certainly hoping so also. I'd like to be able to transcode this stuff into a format that my machine can handle (I'll add a powerful GPU eventually, when the bux allow, but until then...)

An update on this... has me baffled.

I tried it again it worked flawlessly. Same machine, just later. My guess is that it's related to quicktime, because I've had a few cases where exports from RCX worked fine for a while, then randomly crapped out with similar errors to the one above. Just restarting the transcode lead to some bizarre quicktime errors, but rebooting and then restarting got things going again.
