Ultrastudio usb 3 for color grading?

So I have a decklink pcie currently in my older mac pro and I am really in need of my PCIE slots. I am in desperate need of USB 3.0 so I may need to take out my deck link card. would a bm ultrastudio usb 3 to Flanders scientific 1080p color monitor be an ok setup? I realize it only puts out 422 10bit but is that enough for 1080p color grading in davinci?

The Ultrastudio SDI works on a PC if the USB3 lane is not used for anything else. On a Mac I have understood that it doesn't work at all. Also an older Mac Pro (pre-trashcan) doesn't have USB3 but only USB2, right..?

And also on PC, the PCIE solutions are way more stable.

Yeah, from what I understand it doesn't play well on Mac.
