btw for anyone that is looking..I am working with a guy to build the ultimate camera cart for the RED..it's for my use but if some of you like it, I am sure more could be made, on board AC power, on board 12v DC power, built in shore charger, pro ball bearing tool chest on board, shelving for RED Pelican case, Lens case, Laptop pullout drawer, cable management, BNC ports for monitoring on the cart, 4 peewee style Mitchel mounts for building your red, top counter top for parts, etc etc..it's going to be made from Aluminum designed for my camera.

pics and info for anyone that wants to see when it's done.

over at the shop today this thing is pretty impressive. May be to much of
a real cart for some but I can't wait to get my hands on it... Should be done this week or next

That's no cart, that's a Red battle station!

ok guys I am loving this thing...

build my red on it with a swing away arm, charge RED batteries on it, plug in stuff on the AC outlets etc, got a 800watt inverter on it and I have run for one day with no issues.....going to shoot using it to charge till its power is out.....I am hoping for 3 days from it before master recharge, 2 500amp car batteries onboard. and LOTS of space.

we put a bad ass truck bed liner on it for protection, it's a sick surface that protects the bare metal! and looks fat. ":)

battle cart is the word on this monster!

the built in tool chest is just sick :)

ok how much for this beast?

Very nice, Obin. What are the dimensions? How do you see yourself transporting this? (pretty much with lift gates, or can you roll it in a van?)

I think a good cart is essential to happy on set workflow.

OMG.heaviest.cart.evar

it's not that heavy man, it's all aluminum! 100% fully loaded I can pickup the back or front without trouble and I am not a "BIG GUY" by any means!

it IS essential, and NOT a run and gun type setup, more Dramatic shooting and SPOT work I would say...ya roll it in a van no problem

design fits your RED CASE, YOUR LENS CASE, your MATTE BOX CASE, and other small stuff, PLUS the built in tool chest, I have our LCD 22inch screen in a drawer, lots of camera bits etc filters, tools etc etc...from this station I can build the camera, change lenses, power and offload to a laptop and RAID drives while shooting -- that is pretty much what I wanted.

LOVE IT!

Hey Obin, Any more details, pictures? - what kind of cost to have another built?

deep cycle marine is the way to go, using them for outdoor digital projection for ten years!
