UK - MCD Auctions?

Any feedback on the MCD Broadcast Auctions that are held? bargains to be had?

It's the luck of the draw on the day. If you happen to be lucky, you may get a bargain or two, but the auction takes all day and the items you want may be scattered through the catalogue. Also happens fairly often you are bidding against people who clearly have done very little research of secondhand values of equipment, and/or haven't taken into account auction commission and VAT, so may get silly high prices being paid for well used gear.

If you're bidding sight unseen from New Zealand - I wouldn't recommend that at all!

I much prefer Ebay!
