Hi Redusers,

I am trying to track down a commercial I saw a while back for an effect shot we are doing.

It is basically a wide shot of people walking down the street and then there is a vfx zoom that then leads to a medium two shot of the couple walking. The action is seamless so it looks like it is all at once.

Can't remember the commercial but looking for other examples that you may know of.
Here is one example.
It is specifically the move that goes off around the 22 second mark where it goes from wide to close then back wider.

If you know of any tvcs with moves like this please post them here.

Thanks

The recent movie and current TV series Limitless use that as an ongoing motif, where they zoom down a street and then seamlessly stitch together multiple zooms to create the effect of a zoom about two miles long.

I would also point to Birdman and the current The Revenant as examples of films that have "invisible cuts" that make a sequence appeared to be shot as a continuous take. The opening of the Bond film SPECTRE uses a similar trick to stitch together a dozen cuts, including going from a shot in Mexico City to a soundstage in England and then back to a rooftop in Mexico City, which is pretty damned impressive.
