  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Two LCDs?

Dual LCD?

Dual LCD?

No, because the RED-LCD requires a scaler in the camera to convert 1280 x 848 to its smaller pixel count.

Use one RED-LCD plus an HD-SDI monitor..?

Bummer,
As I though though. Maybe in Epic you can add a firmware feature to switch between dual LCD and EVF+LCD? Just a thought.

Why to wait for Epic? This can be done for Build 17...:sarcasm:

Not possible.

what about an adapter.. from one lcd to another?
would be split after sending to a set of one boards and then being re-routed out of an adapter which would then have a lemo that connect to the other lcd?
maybe a slight delay, but doubt it would be a noticable delay

Build 17...!!':construction:

not going to happen in build 17 :)

Zakaree has actually an interesting idea..

The only thing I'm guessing we'd loose with 2 lcds is the button functionality of 1 of the lcds? Is that right?

nah.. the first lcd would def work (as far as buttons go)
the second might also work if you were able to reprogram the boards (with a build) that would accept a combination code. So you might hit the first button ,lets call it (A)on the second lcd, but it sends off the information (A+B).

Nope, not possible. Think power as well as video and control signals. Sorry.

heh heh heh.. oh well sorry Zak.. for what its worth.. i liked it :)

Wouldn't it be great to have a HD-SDI input on the RED Pro monitor.
or.
is there any possibility to have a special cable that is lemo (red lcd) and HDSDI and 12V aux power in the other end?
