  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Two Dragons with Same R3D Won't Match in Post...?

In Redcine, highlight the items you want to create OLPF override on. Right click and scroll down to "Generate R3D with OLPF Override." Select target OLPF and then Destination. Redcine will generate a new file with new OLPF data.

Whoa, REALLY!? This could be the gamechanger... thanks man, I'll try that when I get back to home bay.

Just kind of fallowing along here. Such a great tool RedUser... DC I have done the Right click but Generate R3D with OPLF Override is not lit.. in fact its the only one that is grayed...Could this be due to it being a weapon generated clip? Another info would be great because this same issue has happened to me on some Rentals.

From my understanding, Weapon auto-detects the OLPF that is in there. Therefore, it would be impossible to override it...

Yeah that said, I have had OPLF filter not read on the camera before and had to take the mount off and re seat it. This happened once and we ended up shooting for a while before we noticed it was not the correct OPLF setting or basically the camera didn't read we had one in.
this is why I asked to see if you could add that info after the fact. Seems not possible with Weapon.

Definitely a good lesson... but thank God I told everyone to chill out, we HAVE TO CHART... because it's saving our asses right now.
Yep, that's a very wise move for any multicam shoot.

I have seen all major camera brands not match in multicamera shoots. Heck, we had lots of trouble matching multiple film cameras back in the day. This is why colorists exist.

I would advise you that matching cameras is hard without accurate scopes and calibrated monitors.

Did you use the same lenses? Maybe they don't match?
I have definitely seen lenses (particularly zoom lenses) not match, basically going a couple of points blue or minus-blue (yellow) depending on focal length. But it's not a massive change, just a subtle shift.
