Though some would like to see...was a rush job, pretty run and gun for me but it came out ok...If it was shot on video....(gives me the hives even thinking of what it would have looked like) I don't think I would have the same results..

this Fing RED RAW format and sensor RULE!!!!!!!!!!

Very nice especially if done quickly as you said.

Nice variable time on opening shot. Did you use a crane for that and the final overhead shot? Which crane? How did you pull focus as the crane was moving?

hmmm..pulling focus on crane....did not do it :)

My "special" crane. I had it custom made it's pretty much a 24foot remote head unit. :)

yep used on both shots

Obin, this piece is awesome! I love your work! Did you DP/direct this project? What lenses?

Rad

Shoot starts in 2 weeks! Gonna rock it On this project. Our first
dramatic piece! Its a 20min short.

Smooth... Very nice... I love both the images/concept as well as the editing.:sorcerer:

Congratulations!

Obin, you've been quick to give your honest opinion on other's work in the past, so I thought I would return the favor.

I was mostly unimpressed with your spot. Dull, uninspiring shots and lots of flat, 2 dimensional lighting. Staging and camera movement were little more than competent. If I had seen this on television wouldn't have given it a second thought. Or perhaps, might have thought, hmmm, they must have hired some wet-behind the ears kid to shoot this.

Journeyman effort at best. Cheers.

wet behind the ears" bit I take that
as a personal " jab" am sure you meant it to be. Am quick at the draw but I Don't make it personal when cutting creative work in bits, its all meant to help.

Sorry you don't see it that way.

This was not feedback.. This was getting even... Sad.

Obin..

Saw it.. Looks good.. No real complaints.

Here's what I care about:

1: Did your client like it?
2: Will they air it (Proof they liked it)
3: Did they pay you?
4: Are they talking to you about other spots?

If you got a yes to all 4 questions.. Then CONGRADULATIONS!! It's an excellent spot!

Jay

make that a solid yes to all 4.
and it made ads of the world today... I don't know much about that
but the agency is happy so i guess its cool

no man! I come here to bash and be bashed! I spend more energy on here then I would going for a daily run dude!

ROCK ON! shoot till you die! :)
