Hey all, forgive me if this has been discussed previously, a search didn't provide any help.

Prepping a 2 camera red one job here and was planning on using my tv logic 5.6" (have the hdsdi version) as my focus monitor, was also hoping to go HDMI on this route so I can have menus and such.

Anyways, in a nutshell, I wasn't able to get an image via HDMI. SDI was no problem, but nothing with HDMI. It wasn't a big problem on the day so I didn't spend a lot of time at the rental house trying to figure it out. Anyone have an idea? I was charging from an onboard battery and not via d-tap. Would that make a difference?

thanks in advance

Under monitor or something (can't remember exactly) you have to change the setting to DVI. That's how I alway got it to work before.

hrm i believe i tried that but with no luck and i believe it also interfered with our hd-sdi out as well. i'm not positive on that but i'll check again. there isn't anything in monitor i need to adjust, is there? i gave it a good look through and didn't think that to be the case, but who knows, could have missed something.

I understand that, but even without using the SDI I was still unable to get an image via HDMI. Chumps or not, I'd like to use my crisp monitor as well as having the luxury of using the menu w/o having to dive into the viewfinder.

I think you can get both hdmi and hdsdi. But you'll lose menus on the hdmi output when both are active. Turn off the dvi menus. That should get both outputs active
