I'm trying to get all my displays in both production and post production to rec/bt 1886 to avoid gamma issues (basically people making mistakes especially on the low end of brightness). Any help is appreciated, I'm not finding exactly what to do on display settings always super obvious. I'm generally on RED touch displays on the camera (getting the new viewfinder), apple cinema displays & wacom cintiq on the mac, on windows ezio 318 and older nec color grading displays.
I'm also hoping the new weapon viewfinder will help out in this direction (i.e. with the touch its out in weird lighting conditions, so hard to tell from that if the darks are exposed correctly aside from going into the gio zones).
[i.e. on the new EVF it say COLORIMETRY Rec 709, does that mean the adjust 1.9 thing people do, or the linear mix at the bottom with 2.4 gamma ... i btw really use/trigger off of the linear mix on the bottom of 1886 )
