Hey guys,

New Scarlet-W owner here. I am having a tough time getting my camera to talk to Canon EF lenses. Testing with a Canon branded 28-135mm and a Canon branded 50mm f1.8 II. Last night I was able to get the 28-135mm to work by very carefully twisting on and not entirely locking in, making me think the contacts were somehow misaligned, but this morning the trick does not work. Got a hold of the 50 and it's not reading either. I've taken the mount off and on three times, updated firmware, reset system settings, wiped the camera, rediscovered hardware more times than I can count, and the behavior persists.

Anything I'm missing before I have to order another EF mount while shipping this one somewhere to get looked at?

Sounds like you went through most of the steps I would have, I would just double check the pins on your lenses are clean for any dirt.

Best bet is to reach out to support and get your ticket going.

Happened to one of mine EF mounts, the pin was slightly worn so wouldn't engage properly and talk to some lens, maybe work checking

Just an updated to this one - after going through two mounts, my dealer checked his remaining stock with his Scarlet-W - same issue. A new batch came in from RED that day and he immediately sent me one from that batch after confirming they did work on his Scarlet-W. So far, so good! I'll be shipping the other two mounts back to him and he'll be in touch with RED to get them back in working order - wondering if somehow they didn't get firmware installed...
