  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Tripod plate Stubby flat screwdriver

I found the perfect screwdriver for this task while tool hunting in Switzerland. It was a PB Baumann brand (Swiss made), very short, with a wide blade with hardened, ground edges. The perfect tool.

Needless to say it disappeared after a very hectic shoot. It was missing the one feature that would have made it perfect: An eyelet to keep it on a lanyard so no one can "borrow" it.

If you guys are interested I'll try to see if I can find the part number. I could probably order a bunch of them from my Swiss tool supplier if enough people were interested. I don't think anybody has them in the U.S.

I'm interested :)

All you old timers might remember the "C" cup wrench that was used to mount the Angenieux zoom lenses with side finders on none reflex 16mm cameras. Most any rental house or camera and lens repair company probally has a bunch or them laying around. Get ahold of one and grind the end down to fit the screw head on your quick release plate.

I'm a big fan of the little Miller keychain tool
