Hi Guys,

Have a shoot booked for the weekend with the Scarlet and just wanted to see if you guys have experience with the following tripods.
I will be using a set of Nikkor AF Primes and not cine lenses and with a lightweight matte box and follow focus also.
My rental options at the moment are both Sachtlers...the DV8 and the DV12.
Would any of these tripods handle the payload of a rigged out Scarlet with the lenses I listed-I found a specs page for the DV12 and it says it can handle up to 14kg or 31lbs which I assume would be sufficient.

Any thoughts appreciated,thanks.

I use the dv8 with a stripped down epic, canon mount canon lenses no mattebox but brick on the back. No problems. Maybe if you were shooting over 200mm or so and trying to do a slow pan when it is blowing you would want a larger head.

I would definitely go with the DV12. But of course, I like bigger heads and try to get the biggest head I can.

To give you an idea, most Epic/Scarlet rigs, end up being around 15-25 lbs, depending on the lens and accessories.
