We've been listening to what you guys want and tried to put together some nice packages at attractive prices. We created a few bundled packages at steep discounts. No substitutions, but anything you wish to add will be at a discount as well. Under each listing I've added some notes on the kit.

There is no specific deadline on the deal other than to note that some parts and manufacturers come from overseas, so the trade in the US dollar to the Euro and other currencies can affect the price. I've been asked by various parties not to publish prices, but these will be standard listed kits in our database, so you only need to contact a salesperson at Abel Cine Tech in New York or Los Angeles to get a quote. Just mention the IN CAPS title of each package.

These deals are all live starting Tuesday morning. Also please note that I'll be on vacation until the end of next week so please don't direct a bunch of questions to me as I will likely not be around for a bit. Our trusty Abel staff can help.

Here we go:

RED USER O'CONNOR 1030HDS SPECIAL
- O'Connor 1030HDS head
- 25L Carbon Fiber 2-stage legs in 100mm bowl with Mid-level spreader
- Tuffpak tripod tube case

This is the smallest system we're offering here and is really only good if you are just shooting primes and recording to CF cards. Build it up any bigger and you should move up to beefier support.

RED USER O'CONNOR 2060HD SPECIAL #1
- O'Connor 2060HD head in Mitchell base, includes Europlate
- O'Connor Cine HD tall Mitchell tripod
- O'Connor Cine HD medium Mitchell tripod (baby legs)
- 2x ground spreaders for tripods
- ATA case for 2060 head
- tube case for tall sticks
- tube case for medium sticks

I've specced this in Mitchell base for stability and ease of use on a dolly. There is a 150mm ball base accessory available from O'Connor that swaps out with four Allen bolts. And RED offers a nice and inexpensive 150mm bowl to Mitchell adapter plate to put on top of your sticks to make them ball leveling so now you can have the best of both worlds. This is essentially the way i had my personal tripod system packaged out for years and it was very versatile.

RED ONE CINE 30 HD SPECIAL
- Sachtler Cine 30 HD 150mm ball head
- Cine HD 150mm ball tall tripod
- Cine HD 150mm ball medium tripod (baby legs)
- 2x ground spreader for tripods
- ATA case for Cine 30 head
- tube case for tall sticks
- tube case for medium sticks

Sachtler offers a great classic 150mm ball head. It comes with a generic top plate that can bolt to a sliding baseplate or directly to the bottom of your RED One. It's actually rated to handle more weight than the 2060.

RED USER PANTHER T28 SPECIAL
- Panther T28 150mm ball head
- Panther C-150 2-stage tripod in 150mm ball
- Panther C-150 baby-leg tripod in 150mm ball
- 2x ground spreader for tripods
- ATA case for T28 head
- Tuffpak case for tall tripod
- Tuffpak case for small tripod

The Panther heads are very nice but not as well known as other brands. They are super-solid and very smooth operating. They are only made in 150mm ball with adapters available to marry them to Mitchell plates. The T28 can handle 62 pounds of camera load, which is pretty beefy.

RED USER PANTHER T45 SPECIAL
- Panther T45 150mm ball head
- Panther C-150 2-stage tripod in 150mm ball
- Panther C-150 baby-leg tripod in 150mm ball
- 2x ground spreader for tripods
- ATA case for T45 head
- Tuffpak case for tall tripod
- Tuffpak case for small tripod

For only a little more money, the T45 can support 99 pounds of camera while maintaining the size and weight of the T28.

Lots of tripods to satisfy everyone's tastes. For more information contact:

Prices would be nice.

It's also worth noting there is another group buy on tripods and supports.. Go into off topic and look it up.. That way you can all compare the prices to make sure you are getting a good deal.

And we use the 1030hds with no problems

Thanks Mitch

But seriously, who cares about the euro plate?
When you should get Element Technica Arri base and Dovetail, It doesn't feel right to pay for a euro plate you'll never use.

If this is supposed to be a Red Package, you should give us the choice not to include the euro plate.

Yours

Emmanuel

I believe there's no time limit on this; If I read him right, Mitch said that these items were being added to their catalog and would be a regularly-orderable item at a fixed (discounted) price.

Mitch Please provide pricing ..If not on the forum, how about a PM?

Thanks
Dave

anybody hear back on pricing ?

Hello everyone--

Just back from vacation and see that there's been a lot of messages on this here and in PMs. I'm back now and available to answer questions.

I was told that both the forum ops and others request that we do not list prices, which is why you need to contact one of our sales reps directly. These bundles are ongoing products and the current prices should hold for as long as the international exchange rates remain stable.

For the O'Connor 1030HDS, I've seen some people max out its weight and either not have the control they desire or actually cause damage to the head. I know it can handle more than its rating, but I was just trying to be conservative. If it works for you than great, as it is a terrific head and that's why we offered it.

As far as the Europlate goes, that was an issue that bounced back and forth quite a bit. In the end the vote was that it should be in the bundle as we would otherwise be shipping a device that could not function on its own, i.e. you would have to then purchase either a Europlate or a sliding baseplate from Element Technica or someone else to fit the head. That and the fact that there are still many people who prefer to have the Europlate so that they have two points of adjustment for very long or heavy lenses. The difference in price in the end was not going to be enough to justify not including the Europlate.

And yes, we are also offering new ongoing deals on the Arri MB20 and FF-4.

If anyone has an issue getting information from one of our salespeople, please feel free to let me know. I'll help facilitate.

I'm not in Sales so I can't quote. I helped bundle the packages working with our sales team and the manufacturers. I'm here to answer questions and be a conduit for you, but it will have to go through a Sales Rep. in the end.

Good to have you back Mitch.

It would have been awesome if we could have taken part to this "vote", I guess the results would have been slightly different.
The Europlate cost something like 1000$ or so, wich is not a small amount of money, I still think it would make this deal a better one if we had the chance to go without it.

Thanks for your efforts.

Emmanuel

Emmanuel,

I do understand your position. Please note that while the Europlate list cost is above $1K, in the bundled price we worked out with O'Connor the amount we would be able to drop the price without the Europlate would not be nearly that much. And then if someone did want the Europlate it would have cost them a lot more than in the bundled price. So it was a real back and forth consideration but we did work to make you the best deal.

Mitch

Hello all, based on client requests we've altered the Panther tripod bundles, eliminating the baby legs from the kits. You can of course still order these at discount rates; now you are not forced to have them included. Here's the new kits:

RED USER PANTHER T28 SPECIAL
- Panther T28 150mm ball head
- 2-stage tripod in 150mm ball
- Ground spreader for tripod
- ATA case for T28 head
- Tuffpak case for tall tripod

The Panther heads are very nice but not as well known as other brands. They are super-solid and very smooth operating. They are only made in 150mm ball with adapters available to marry them to Mitchell plates. The T28 can handle 62 pounds of camera load, which is pretty beefy.

RED USER PANTHER T45 SPECIAL
- Panther T45 150mm ball head
- 2-stage tripod in 150mm ball
- Ground spreader for tripod
- ATA case for T45 head
- Tuffpak case for tall tripod

For only a little more money, the T45 can support 99 pounds of camera while maintaining the size and weight of the T28.

Hey Guys,

I have given Steve Cohen special pricing already, so can you please add Miller to you deals.

Thanks,
Gus

Gus, we do have the Miller deal in place but Steve is out sick so it was not entered into our database properly. We are correcting that and we apologize if anyone has been quoted improperly.
