Hello, I dont understand what I need for mounting the Raven to a Tripod and also be able to use 15mm bars for attach a FF, matte box etc..
My Bomb squad commercial first told me on last email

"DSMC MODULAR ASSAULT PLATE PACK http://eu.red.com/store/products/epic-mounting-plate-pack-modular-m will bolt on directly underneath the RAVEN With its lightweight 15mm adaptor. This is needed to mount onto a Tripod.
QUICK RELEASE PLATFORM (BOLT-ON) http://eu.red.com/store/products/quick-release-platform-bolt-on RED’s QUICK RELEASE PLATFORM (BOLT-ON) requires the addition of a camera specific mounting plate, and will attach to the Tripod."

But as I dont understand what is the minimum needed for attach Raven to a tripod I asked again and he told me:
"Yes, DSMC® Modular Assault Plate bolts directly to the bottom of the RAVEN onto the Tripod."

But I dont understand once I see the pictures of DSMC MODULAR ASSAULT PLATE PACK I dont understand where the tripod is mounted / attached to.
Can any one clarify me;

Can the DSMC MODULAR ASSAULT PLATE PACK be attached directly to a tripod without any more RED mounting product ? if so, How to ?
I want to know the basic, minimum to spend to
A)Mount Raven camera on a tripod
B)Mount Raven camera on a tripod and be able to add 15mm tubes for matte box and follow focus.

We need to make the rest of payment this week, please suggestions, details..

most people, including me, go with the wooden camera setup. try the easy riser plate with the 15mm lightweight rod attachment.
then if you want you can add the dovetail bridge and plate too.

Wooden camera is not available and if I add the quick release thenb Im spending 1000 euros for attach to the tripod. Spending 1000 euros for attaching to a tripod from a 6000 euros of brain (camera body), is too much money.
Are there no other solution ?
Any photo of bottom of Raven ? Can I attach Raven directly say to a tripod plate

I have no idea of cost but Movecam may be worth looking into?

General Questions:

Can you fix your DSMC2 bodies to any tripod plate, or do you need additional accessories? (Please answer this first, as it will help me answer the following question, as I plan on attaching the tripod plate to the wooden camera stuff).

If you are planning to do a simple Matte box that accepts 15mm rods & follow focus attachments, can I get away with the following:

http://woodencamera.com/Easy-Riser-Weapon-Scarlet-W-Raven.html

&
http://woodencamera.com/LW-15mm-Bracket-Weapon-Scarlet-W-Raven.html

???

At what point, would I need a bridgeplate and dovetail? Shoulder mount? Audio + Battery attachments?

Read through the Raven operation guide, it's helpful. Here's a bottom view of the Raven's mounting options. This should help you pair it with a baseplate of your choice.

More genric does not work. 15mm tube position in RED dmsc cameras must be upward and totally different from standard baseplates. So it must be designed for Red dsmc cameras in mind so that cheap models dont work.
I need the typical, be able to use bars on camera for FF and MB and attach detach to a tripod.

That seems a solution.
Let me ask a question as I dont see very well the bottom side, as for http://woodencamera.com/Easy-Riser-Weapon-Scarlet-W-Raven.html
Can I attach one side of the easy rider to a raven ? yes, but then Can I attach the other side to a tripod ?
Im not sure, I see the screws, probably that screws will be hidden once raven attached so I can put the one side to the Raven and the ither to the tripod, Am I right ?

you can attach the camera body directly to a tripod plate, yes.
but most people go with another plate just to protect the bottom of the camera and add rods.
what do you mean wooden camera is not available? it's the best option.
