TRIBE7 8-Perf VistaVision/Digital Hybrid Concept Camera

I saw this interesting post on Instagram. It looks like TRIBE7 makers, of the BLACKWING7 set of lenses are looking to develop a camera that is a hybrid 8-perf VistaVision camera capturing natively to film but with a parallel digital capture system for proxy recording, view finding and on-set monitoring. I haven’t seen any further information on this anywhere else besides their Instagram post.

I love ideas, and for most people, an idea is better than nothing. I suspect that this is more than just an idea, but still far away from a prototype. Still, I am really curious to see how quickly they can produce a working prototype.
