  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Travel over the world with epic ...

I've also carried a Red One with Nikon mount and 4 lenses in one backpack from EU to EU, EU to Asia, EU to USA, never a carnet and never an issue, once in a while a bomb swab will be done on the camera but they usually don't look twice at the gear. Just pack discrete, the Epic is smaller any how so. Good luck!

The best way would be to use a official Carnet.

But i never used one yet ;o)

I've done this year 22 flights inside Europe with a self made part list.
This list includes everything that i'll take with me. Each part is listed with serialnr. and a pic of it. There's also my name and passport nummber on it.
When going to countries like Turkey i always translate the main parts additionaly in to the native language, so customs understand whats written on the list.
There's also always a sentence on it like: These parts will be taken to a film shoot in Country XX and will return afterwards.

Prior check in at my home airport i go to the customs office and let them check the list and sign/stamp every page.
This way i never got into troubles when being controlled crossing borders. Especialy when returning back to Switzerland.

This how ever works probably just inside of main Europe.
Traveling to Countries like Morocco would be a complete different story. Those customs officers smell expensive stuff and wan't to get paid in some way if you don't want to get in to trouble...
