Transferring red files to external drive with a tablet.

I do a lot of remote field work and every ounce counts. Was wondering if any one has used a tablet to transfer red files form the mags to an external hard drives?

Should work great, the tablet even runs Redcine-X Pro pretty well.

I would recommend Acer Iconia W700. Though not as compact as Surface Pro it can be configured for similar/better performance and with the dock you don't even need a USB 3 hub. It also has far superior battery life, while Surface Pro cuts out at 5 hours or so, the W700 will have you going for 7 hours.
