So i am editing a doc. for Sundance and it looks like they are requesting hdcam-ntsc tape or 16mm or 35mm print. i can buy a tape and take my .mov file....but do what with it exactly? what program do i use with my hardrive/mac/and .mov file that will put it on a tape like that? i have like 2 days to do this!?? Assuming nothing very out of the ordinary here, Final Cut Pro can do this. But you need a video I/O card (something like an AJA Kona 3 or Blackmagic card, not the regular video card in your computer) and then you would need an HDCAM deck, which are very expensive and not likely to be sitting around. So, my suggestion for you is to call a local post house tomorrow morning, and arrange to have them dump your digital file (which you can give them on hard disk, etc.) onto an HDcam tape or whichever format you can use that they can make. It'll cost, but nowhere near as much as what it would cost you to do yourself. Hope that helps.
Peace,

-Harry
