I just put a new sys on a SSD drive (Mountain Lion) and installed only RCX.
I downloaded RCX 17.28. When I set under Transcode : 6 and also enable Use Redline (Software only) it transcodes 6 clips at the time.
Problem is, that none of the clips I can open. They show the QT logo, but when I click on it, it says "Quicktime Player can't open xxx.xxx.xxxx because the movie's File Format isn't recognized." I transcode from full 5k to 1080p.
When I set transcoding to 1 and unable Redline, it transcodes one-by-one (slow) but at least I can open them.
I remember, I had the same problem somewhere in RCX ver. 14, but then it was gone.
I checked the settings on my original HDD on the Mac, but all the settings are the same, and on the HDD it transcodes easy 6 clips at the same time.
When I look at the file info, the filesize is rather small (100 Mb vs. a full clip 3-400 mb)
It seem to me, that RCX shows Progress 100% while it is not fully done.
Lots of computer time wasted this way.......
