I just upgraded my Redcine X because the Look Effects on my older version (22)stopped working (license expired). Now with the latest version when I transcode camera recorded audio and video the audio tracks are grayed-out (not functioning) on the FCP 7 timeline and all I get is a nasty hiss. The files playback fine on the Quicktime player so the audio is being transcoded so it must be a Final Cut Pro 7 incompatibility problem of some kind. Any ideas?

Problem solved. There are two audio adjustments in the newest version of REDCINE X which were not in previous versions. In the Quicktime setup audio section there are two default selected items that need to be deselected. Under "Audio Overrides" deselect "clip frame rate" and "Mono Audio Channel Layout"
