I know lots of people who will go for it. and I know lots of people who see that peice of shit 2/3" hd camera with no raw capabality... better than red.

i hear the following everyday;

"red needs a lot of set-up time" (this one i get a lot)
"how do you hold that red thing, all those peices and tighten all those holes and knobs"
"can't auto-focus?"
"its for guys doing drama stuff"
"can't zoom?"
"its gonna die"
"not for ENG"

Actually I do think that your line could have not been put in any better way, just that some firmware are easier then others to update

I do love Panasonic, but no one in their serious mind could ever consider such a trade in with their RED, any RED.

RED is of an other ERA all together!!
