Was wondering if tracking is available in Final Cut Pro X? If tracking is not... how do you automatically track a mask while using the new coloring features taken from Apple Color?

You can track in Motion 5. Not clear on how the two link up though. Haven't gotten that far. :-( May be worth a little investigation, though.

Yeah I have to investigate this Motion 5 workflow with FCPX. I wonder if it's possible to track a mask in Motion 5 and then export that track over to FCPX. hmmm.

No... definitely not. I'm just testing out FCPX... partially to see what was lost and what's gained. Apple Color had tracking... now Apple Color is gone and FCPX does not implement it. It sees like even the Censor effect is dying for a tracker. I figure if they are going to make Apple Color a part of FCPX they may as well port over tracking. It's kind of funny that they went through so much work to port apple Color into FCPX and this thing doesn't even support a video capture card to monitor properly.
