  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hello,

I am experiencing that whenever I use TP2, the file coming from RC-X is always longer that the original clip.

I usually render out of RCX one long clip, and "slice" it in clips inside FCP after locating it over the original, non-graded footage from where the XML is created.

Once the file is imported, and try to locate it over the timeline, it is always longer, so extra footage is being rendered without asking for handlers.

Any idea of what can potentially be creating this phenomenon?

Do you use "All Clips to Timeline (Set IN OUT)" mode?
And check "Set IN OUT" and uncheck "Clip Handles"?

Do you use ReLinkTool?

Ryota,

Yes, I am using, "All Clips to Timeline (Set IN OUT)" and IN OUT checked. However, I do not use ReLinkTool. So, what does it really accomplishes? Reconforming?

Hello,

I have two problems:

1. When I download the software via your website, after opening the zip file I get version 1.1, not 1.2.

2. When I try to use ReLinkTool (1.1), it asks for a TP2 file. Where can I find it? After I have created the lua file, it does not allow me to save, and a "Waitting" message is shown on the STATUS area (see enclosed snapshot).

Please use ver1.2 and if you have any problem, tell me.

*Important notice
Time-remap clip
The different frame rate clip from sequence frame rate

Above clips will be whole clip by TP2 because of accurate frame matching.

edgecode & TOD(time of day)
If your proxy file's timecode track is edgecode, ReLinkTool v1.2 can not relink.
Because RedCine-X 221 always output TOD.
This case, you should use ReLinkTool v1.1.
ReLinkTool v1.1 doesn't check timecode, but merged mode only.

Could 'clip handles' be remembered as a setting? (rather than resetting to 120 frames at every restart?

Please see this post for some issues I am having with the workflow, that seem to be RCX related.

'Clip Handles' is remembered now, at least my environment.
Are you using version 1.2?
I will check it.

AC and EC issue...
If you are OK at 'Merged' mode, ReLinkTool need not check Timecode.
I can make no check version.
Of course, The best thing is RCX can export .mov with EC.

What is the procedure to tell the software where the folders are located, when you have the R3Ds in multiple drives or directories?

When I try to use the Re-Link procedure, I get reported 92 problems out of 103 clips!!!

When I created the LUA with TP2, it moved all fine to RCX. However, I always export with the RCX option of rendering on separate folders per clip. This will add the suffix of SXXX to any subsequent clips from the same shot.

Any problem with this procedure? See attached report:
