[Joe D'Arcy]

The Tour de France will be won by Cadel Evans from Australia after an amazing time trial.

This is the first time an Aussie has ever won the Tour De France, although Cadel Evans has come in second twice before.

Congratulations Cadel!

Was anyone from Reduser out watching the race or filming it?

Yes, I was watching it. It was an incredible ride by Cadel. Tony Martin took it easy on the mountains, and to come 7 seconds within him after toiling through the mountains - it is the ride of a lifetime. He rode the Criterium a month before just to know the time-trial course, and it has been well worth it. He has been so close before (23 seconds down after 90 hours in 2007!) and has had such wretched luck - there's no one else in the peloton who thoroughly deserves victory. As does Andy, but I am sure he will win it some day, he's only 26 and thrice runner-up! Leading by 53 seconds, everyone thought he had a chance, but few saw Cadel hitting peak form at the right time. Incidentally, at 34, he's also the oldest winner in quite some time.

Chapeau bas to the wallabies.
It was sweet to see that big Aussie boy crying with his yellow jacket on.
