  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Touch LCD locks up randomly - only reboot helps

On the latest firmware and a few times per shooting day the touch screen just doesn't respond anymore, even the buttons on the side don't work. Side handle still works, the camera can still record and the screen is not 'locked': there is no lock icon in the corner. Unplugging and plugging the lcd cable doesn't help.

Anybody has this? What to do with it? I already reloaded the firmware but the problem persists.
 
I just had the same problem Friday. Time code generator plugged in. At one point LCD went dark. Replugging brought the screen back but locked without indicating it is locked. Reboot fixes. Then happened again only LCD didn't go dark.
 
For what it's worth, in my case I diagnosed it as a cable with an intermittent problem. May be the same for you.
