So we all know that the package itself is $14,015. But how much is everything with tax and shipping if I'm located in Washington DC? an estimate would be good too.

no tax.. shipping $200? IF I had to guess. Its kinda heavy, I'm sure there will probably be insurance.

Standard overnight shipping to Texas added $74 or so to my order.
Taxes are all going to depend on rates in your area.

I think you got your real answer already ... but I'd plan on a bit more than the $14000 package to make your total package.

Do you need iris rods for a follow focus or a matte box? If so do you already own some? If you do own some, will your rig work with Epic/Scarlet?

If not, I'd check out Wooden Camera for some solutions for camera mounting, and I like Element Technica's aluminum iris rods. (Not a fan of anybody's carbon rods, and steel is heavy.)

I really like Red's mounting system. Big fan of the new quick release with the dovetails. The baseplate has a little stable stand built in to it. Seems trivial, but it will definitely save your multi-thousand camera brain from taking a few tumbles in its service life. Its fast, and secure.

On a budget I'd just use Sachtler's (or whoever makes your head(s)) Even the cheaper brands will have QR plates that work well.

The main downside is that you have to be a bit more prepared on set with safe places to set the camera down. (I like to use a canvas or leather bean bag of some sort. Underfilled sand bags also work.)

Do you have an EVF? You really need one ... it doesn't have to be the Red Bomb EVF, but you should get one. Also, for spaces where you can use an LCD, you'll want a second one.

Also ... a single 64GB just won't cut it. I'd want a 4 pack of Red SSD media to go with the camera. I think 4 64GB would work decently for most film style workflows, but most everyone I know has bought the 128 or 256 modules.

You should also get a spare SSD reader. (I like to have one spare on set, and a unit in my studio for whatever camera I am using. So I typically end up with three readers)

I'm sure you get the idea.

The base kit will get you rolling, but its not a complete kit that will satisfy your complete production needs.
