  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I'm not a reservation holder unfortunately, being a student with no money (and besides I don't have the skill set yet to make use of the RED) but nonetheless, I'd be interested in coming out if I'm welcome. :-)

Graeme's focus
high speed port
delivery, I wary that RED will have delays with the implementation of the features and what are we going to do about it.
Accessories, red grip/red motor, remote focus
Canon smart mount, did anybody went there to ask questions and see it?
And of course, the 4K presentation, impression.
How we can organize the screening of the 4K footage in Toronto.
Visit in the Apple booth, impression of FCP
Who is getting it first in Toronto, what he is going to do first.
In my area here we have only two more reservations.

Yes I am and I am getting my practice in with a similar setup, streamed raw HD using Andromeda. I know the workflow from RED will be smoother than current workflow we are messing with, but it's still great practice.

Some other thoughts/agenda for the night

Have a new born on my hands, so my schedule is very random. If there's no issues where can I find you guys? Sounds like there's an upstairs at that place, is there any pictures of what you guys look like?

why not? Real easy way for us to find each other, and of course show our support for a shared vision.

I'll be there with my brother, Gregor. We will be testing the camera together. :)

Agenda????....

I guess it would be interesting to hear what everyone plans to do with their RED - types of productions; indy, commercial, etc. It would also be interesting to see what different people's kits will consist of. Not everyone will be able to buy everything they need so it would be nice to know that Bob could rent a jib or remote follow focus from Bill, or trade it for a prime lens kit rental... The issue of emergency backup cameras is also important. I guess I'm hinting at a sort of loose network for those who are interested.

Next it would be cool to get an update from the lucky folks who attended NAB.

I suppose I could talk a bit about how the post community has been reacting to Red and who will be ready (that's a bit depressing I'm afraid - haha.) I'm sure Glenn Chan would certainly know more (is he coming?)

Oh ya - for those of us who missed meeting #1 - perhaps Ian or someone could bring us up to speed on what was discussed so that we (I) don't waste everybody's time with old stuff.
