So a friend of mine has recently done this and I am curious to hear some opinions as so far all I have is his. (He says his machine is flawless and very very quick)
He bought the lowest spec Mac Pro with a 512GB SSD and the highest spec Graphics Card.
He then purchased memory separately and bought this processor http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-E5-2690V2-Threads-LGA2011-Socket/dp/B00F3TZ9OU
Giving him a 10 core for a fraction of the price.
Would there be any major disadvantages to this reliability wise?
I am about to drop the money on a mac pro and want to have the highest spec I can afford.
Be interested to hear your opinions on the best way to kit them out to work with dragon footage.
Thanks
J
