Top Plate for M?

What are the currently available options for an M Top Plate? Do the ones designed for the new top on the X fit the M (and just not screw down in the back)? Am I S-O-L unless I find one of Brook's originals used? I know my M will eventually be called in for the swap, but until then...

I'm in the same situation. I originally didn't order the VF/Brook plate even after I heard they would offer an upgrade. The main reason being I didn't want to cost them money as I was sure they would lose money on any kind of replacement program. I always screw myself whenever I try to be considerate....
