Is there anywhere in the southwest where it's NOT guaranteed to be rained out? I was so looking forward to trying to film this thing.:nonod:

Joe,

no idea but I'm on the North in Europe and also in the city and right now searching about possibilities to shoot something like that from here...???!!!

I wish you good and inspirational viewing, Sanjin. I would have to drive all the way to Texas, even there there is 60+ mph winds forcast. A Lunar Eclipse plays a big roll in the story of the Glanton Gang, the subject of my documentary, and I could have really used this shot.

This is a hell of an excuse to drink beer and pout instead. Really bummed.

Moon just broke through clouds here. Might get lucky. Heading out now, will do timelapse with RED. Cool aura around it right now. Hopefully doesn't succumb to clouds.

I've got time lapse rig running and Canon ready to snap. Hazy, not cloudy. I can see some details on the moon so I'm optimistic!

I hope Tom's out somewhere tonight cracking open a few cold ones and grabbing moving timelapse of it.

maybe someone will have/get a shot you could use. this isn't the first eclipse, and hopefully, this won't be the last!

there are also CG solutions... wouldn't take too much, PM me if you're interested.

Here we go...

And the winter Solstice is a few hours behind.

Are you worried about the end or the world or something? :)

It's actually perfectly clear right now in the Bay Area. The orange hue is becoming visible.

Looks like Mark got a break in the clouds aswell.
