  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Tokina 11-16 Coverage on Epic

Tokina 11-16mm on EPIC with Canon Mount full 5K frame ( 5120x2700 ) full wide ( 11mm ) focus distance really has little effect.

The Tokina 11-16 is designed for an APS-C sensor i.e. a 7D. Not a FF camera like the 5DMkII

The APS-C sensor is very similar in size to S35, hence why the 7D can take some PL mount lenses.

I'd like to see some actual screen grabs on the Tokina wide open at 11mm. We'll probably see a whole lot on 10th September when people take delivery of their Canon mounts.

EDIT: Jarred, thank you!

Completely acceptable... and when you throw in virtually ZERO aspherical distortion = SEXY SEXY SEXY UW ANGLE LENS!

Indeed, any idea why it's worse on the left than on the right?

Will agree with you Tim, amazing lens. The following shot entirely on R1MX, Gates Deep Red, and the redoubtable Duclos-Tokina 11-16. I rest my case.

It is an AMAZING lens, indeed. We will be using the Canon version on our Epic and love it on our RED One.
