It is time to invest in technology, no question!!!
But I am not sure which "storage package or media solutions" hits my necessities. And I want to accommodate my Apple Environment to savely work on the footage prior to send it in to the lab.

So, basicaly I wanna produce this indie feature finishing in 35mm film.

Is there anybody who could give me an advice or even a buy list.

RED Package and
Apple environment upgrade

I would appreciate it so much!

gismor..
What type of shooting will you most likely be doing?

If your doing basic production from tripod, crane, vest, even some hand held as long as your not doing a lot of running the red-drive should be fine for you.
I plan on getting a few of these to start. If you will be doing shots from a car mount, helicopter so on.. a solid state set up would be more reliable.
I plan on doing 2 red drives and have the flash module as well for occasional high vibration shots.

as far as post goes..Im still learning what the best options are.. so i wont be able to give my thoughts on that until i figure it out:) but im sure someone will

Can you someone advise on lens adapter too?
1) For my indie projects I want to shoot using Nikon Lens, but if some one wants to hire me or my RED, the kit should be flexible enough to rent Cooke/other cine lenses. What are the adapters I need?

just the basic production, maybe some car mount ( as far as the director doesn t want to get fired, no no )
well just the basic, I hope it fits into a indie budget

I want to spend around 80.000 euros
for the whole red package ( with shipping costs )
and the apple upgrade

Thanx for the answers!

visakk.. do a search on the birger lens mount. this will control ef, sigma sa, and nikon F lenses.. this lens mount option from the third party company is a great tool for us still lens users. a must have in my book

PS. camera comes with PL mount and should be an easy switch when u want to flip over to cine lenses

hmmmm 80 something like 110 000 dollars
and upgrade or i dont know how this could be called,...
besides the fcp2 I mean xraid and aja I/o and all these stuff i don t know what it is for...

mainly the infraestructure to smoothly manage the off line

zakaree,...
roughly 110.000 dollars
and I mean a small suite capable of handle the red footage for off line editing
but I am investing just once in a while so I dont care to try to be high- end
if this is possible with this budget!

my conection is failing I am sorry for my delay...

hmmm. sounds like u can defiantly get a nice set up with 110,000..
Im not really a post guy so im not too familiar as of right now on the options available. I myself will be getting a basic basic post set up.. mostly for non professional situations and to learn work flow.. but it sounds like the average workstation for high end editing is 20-25,000.. plus your hd monitors..audio monitoring.. so on.. You should be able to set up something really nice. But again.. im not a post guy.. hopefully someone will see this and help you out. I just ran across some workstation questions somewhere else in here

muchas gracias the silverado system is the one I was seeking for.
some tip for the red package that fit the expectations.???

thanx a lot.
