While waiting for our camera, I have been spending way too much time on this awesome forum. Here are 3 small suggestions for things I could imagine to see improved:

:calm: When including a link in a post, this link should be bold or underlined, or somehow distinguishable from normal text. (Or can you spot the link in this paragraph?)

:calm: I find myself checking the board way too often on my iPhone. On multi-page treads I always have to zoom in a couple of times to hit the button for the next page. Would be great to have a more prominent "next page" link — just like the "next thread". iPhone, baby!

:calm: When clicking on a previously read thread, it would be great to be automatically taken to the first unread post.

agree 100%! all great suggestions

A more sophisticated search engine would be nice as well - one that supports some flavor of Boolean logic (being able to search for posts that contain all the keywords you type, or certain keywords but not others, or being able to specify exact strings using quotes).

I find that it's usually easier to search the boards by using regular Google than it is to use the search function.

Not sure if this currently exists but it would be great to have an option to be notified if someone quotes you in a subsequent post.

I'm thinking that something vBulletin would have to do.... To ask something like that of an admin. is basically impossble... you'd have to code a bit of PHP to do something like that.... and before you can even do that; you gotta decode the way vBulletin coded their scripts (which is damn near impossible, for obvious reasons.).

There should be more user levels. Already at 100 posts I am now a "senior member" - the same status as those who have been subscribers since the very beginning.
How about another level at 300, 1000 and 3000 posts.

Hey, and maybe an extra icon indicating if the user owner has a Red?

i often find these "member level" things to be pretty irrelevant. I think the way it is now, with Join Date and No. of Posts does a pretty good job of demonstrating who's participating in the community.
